The Triumphant Story Of "Living Is So Big"

From Despare And Darkness To Hope And Blissful Light

After a near tragedy hit a loving family in rural New Jersey they decided to turn a negative into a positive that will touch and save countless lives all over the world.
Jesus Agudo, wife Iliana nearly lost their youngest of 2 sons Chris to suicide. After 17 year old Chris lost his 2 best friends in a car accident he fell in a deep depression in which suicide was the only answer so he thought.
On Apr 10th of 2010 their seventeen year old son Chris tried to commit suicide by hanging himself. He was away in Kansas visiting his older brother during spring break. Little did the Agudo's know that he had this all planned out prior for two weeks. He never had the intention of returning home.
It was 8am when Jesus & Iliana first received the suicide text. "My heart was just hit by a grenade" said Jesus, "I began to text him positive and loving statements for the next four hours. My wife called and left messages on his phone. We reached out to the police and had an amber alert due to him still being a minor. With no response from him I literally started to fall apart just thinking that my son was gone. I cried the hardest I’ve ever cried in my life! Then at that moment I receive a text from him. It said only two words… “I’m Sorry”.
"We were slightly relieved to hear from him knowing that he was still alive, however, it also passed through our minds that this was it! My wife and I booked two flights to Kansas to find our son and bring him back home. Continuing to text and leave voicemails on the way to the airport I received an unknown call. It was a collect call from my son. He wanted to come home. Our older son had picked him up and waited for us to arrive. "Later it was revealed that the noose on the rope Chris used in his suicide attempt became loose preventing the hanging.
Jesus immediately knew this was a calling, a sign if you will for him to reach out to all people and spread the message of life and that it is always worth living regardless of any obsticles that may come our way.
Chris was evaluated for one week at the psychiatric hospital before allowing him to leave.
At one point the therapist ask Jesus to surround Chris with reasons to live.
'On Apr 14th only two reasons came to mind. I was certain that there had to be more.
Before I even got to the car “Living Is So Big” was born." said Jesus.
